Trndez at Leader School: Traditions That Unite Hearts
This year’s Trndez celebration at Leader School once again brought together students, teachers, and parents, gifting everyone unforgettable moments of joy and togetherness. On February 13th, on the eve of one of the brightest and most ancient Armenian holidays, the schoolyard was filled with children’s laughter, music, and the warmth of friendly conversation. We firmly believe that learning about national customs is not just part of the curriculum but a living connection to our roots, instilling in children a deep respect for their native culture.
As tradition dictates, the highlight of the evening was jumping over the bonfire — a symbol of purification, renewal, and new hope. The children, with enthusiasm and a touch of excitement, leaped over the flames, supporting one another with applause and smiles. The festive table, laden with homemade treats, became the center of attraction for all guests: fragrant pastries, sweets, and traditional dishes created a truly warm, almost family-like atmosphere. Games, songs, and dances made the evening exceptionally lively and heartfelt.
“Dear friends! Trndez is a celebration of light, kindness, and hope. When I see the interest and joy with which our students take part in these ancient rituals, I realize that traditions remain alive as long as we pass them down from generation to generation. May the fire of this holiday warm your hearts throughout the year, bringing peace, love, and inspiration. Thank you to everyone who shared this wonderful evening with us!”
